Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Shifti collects through this website (shiftiapp.com), why, and how it's handled. It covers this marketing site only. Self-hosted Shifti runs on your own server and never sends your team's data to us. Shifti Cloud is different — your team's data is stored on our servers to run the app for you, and its own privacy policy (presented at signup and available at app.shiftiapp.com/privacy) covers that data, not this page.

Information we collect

The only personal information you actively submit to us is through the contact form or the invoice-request form: your name, email address, company name, approximate team size, and any message you write. Beyond that, this site uses Google Ads conversion tracking (see "Analytics and advertising" below) — visitors who don't submit a form still have a Google advertising cookie set.

Analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Ads conversion tracking (Google's gtag.js) to measure how effective our ads are — it sets a cookie and shares data with Google about your visit. We don't receive your personally identifiable information through this; Google controls how the underlying data is collected and used, described in Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google's ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

How we use it

We use contact form submissions only to respond to your inquiry — for example, to answer a question, follow up on a trial request, or discuss pricing. We don't sell, rent, or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party processing

The contact form is handled by FormSubmit, a third-party form-processing service. When you submit the form, your information passes through FormSubmit on its way to our inbox. We don't control FormSubmit's own data handling beyond that delivery step — see their site for their own privacy practices.

If you buy a license through /buy, your subscription payment is handled by PayPal. PayPal processes and stores your payment details directly — we never see or store your card or PayPal account information ourselves, only the contact details (name, email, company, seat count) you enter on the license page to let us issue your key.

Data retention

We keep contact form submissions in our email inbox for as long as reasonably useful for following up with you, and delete them on request (see below).

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time by emailing [email protected].

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business use and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.
