Real-time 1:1 and group messaging, with attachments, edit/delete, and read receipts. Chat is self-hosted-only — Shifti Cloud doesn't have it — and it's still Beta, meaning it may change or disappear at any time.

Mentioning people

You can always @-mention a specific person by name. Mentioning a whole group at once — @everyone, a specific position, or a specific location — is gated behind a separate permission, so most employees can only mention individuals directly; if you don't see group mentions available, that's expected.

Editing and deleting a message

You can edit or delete your own message, but only within 30 seconds of sending it. After that window closes, only a Manager or Admin with chat-moderation permission can remove it — so double-check a message before you send it if it matters.
